Hobbies

I have a few hobbies.  I am not actively engaged in all of them right now.

  • Scuba diving
  • Sailing
  • Fixing old cars (sometimes even new cars)
  • Building cheap race cars (see Lemons and Chump)
  • Home Improvement (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, all of it)
  • Music.  I played the flute when I was younger.  I’m learning to play the violin as an adult.  It’s hard.

Projects

Documentation of specific hobby projects.

  • Building a racecar.  After a fashion.
  • When I was 16 I completely disassembled a ’71 VW bug and built a baja bug.  Old notes and pictures still exist.
  • I rebuilt a small block Ford V8 (302/5.0L).  Pictures.

Travel

I wouldn’t say I have the travel bug, but sometimes I travel places to see Interesting Things.
